ProFootballTalk today has tracked down the goods concerning Brian Johnson, former University of Utah quarterback. According to his agent David Canter’s Twitter feed only a short while ago, Johnson will be hopping aboard the UFL New York express.
Johnson comes with a slick college pedigree, having led the Utah Utes to a 13-0 season and a Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama just last season. Featured on NCAA Football 10 from EA Sports, the born and bred Texan seems excited about the opportunity to play pro ball in the UFL.
“It’s a chance to keep playing football,” Johnson said during the UFL tryouts. “You have to take every opportunity you can get. You have to keep knocking on doors. You have to show them you can compete, that you have the physical tools they want.”
