Another United Football League player is finding time with NFL squads this month. The United Football League has taken a lot of knocks for their attendance and the lack of media attention that the league, at times, received. What is often overlooked, however, is that it was in some ways a miracle they even played in the first place. The journey of the league and the way they overcame many obstacles does not excuse them for any mistakes they made in year one but it does make their journey all the more remarkable.
The initial United Football League season has been analyzed, critiqued, praised, panned, sliced, diced, chopped, probed, dissected and looked at in every possible way from it birth to the end of the thrilling first-ever championship game.

Being a fan of alternative football leagues is a lot like believing that a third party candidate will win in the United States. It could happen, maybe, but history isn’t in your favor. News Director Nation Hahn explains why he believes the United Football League will change the history of alternative football leagues.
“Less than a week after the conclusion of our “Premiere” season, NFL clubs have shown interest in almost 20 UFL players,” said Commissioner Michael Huyghue. “These signings further illustrate the overall quality of play in the UFL and the talent of these players, who if given the opportunity, can compete in the NFL. We wish our players the best of luck with their new teams in the NFL.”
