Earlier in the week Adam “Pacman” Jones was headed to the frigid tundra of Winnipeg to play in the Canadian Football League. Now, according to numerous sources and reports, it seems likely that he might be headed to New York to become the newest Sentinel.
NEW YORK, NY (August 27, 2009) – The United Football League’s New York Sentinels announced 17 more names for its “Premiere” season roster including DE Simeon Rice. Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals third overall in the 1996 NFL Draft, Rice is credited with over 120 sacks, earned three Pro Bowl selections and contributed to the Buccaneer’s Super Bowl XXXVII victory.

Contrary to the press release from earlier, UFL Access has learned exclusively today that the New York Sentinels will indeed play one game at CitiField.
News Director Nation Hahn moments ago learned courtesy of UFL PR representative Rachel Gary that a deal was reached with CitiField just minutes before today’s press conference in New York announcing the Sentinels franchise.
Once again, Sr. Director of Marketing for the UFL, Ralph Vuono comes through with some key shots of the new United Football League uniform for the New York Sentinels, as it was on display at today’s press conference in New York. In keeping with the uniforms for the California Redwoods, Florida Tuskers and Las Vegas Locomotives (or “Locos”), the New York Sentinels uniform makes use of some of the coloring from the UFL logo, while also appearing starkly different in hue thanks to the primary use of black. At a press conference today, United Football League Commissioner Michael Huyghue announced the New York franchise will be named the Sentinels and unveiled innovative team uniforms showcasing the Sentinels’ “Premiere” season colors of black, silver and green.
