Fran Stuchbury: My Trip to the UFL Championship Game

UFL Access and OurSports Central contributor Fran Stuchbury talks about the experience he had covering the UFL Championship Game. Fran is a long time alternative league fan and journalist. This is the third part of a three part series of those who attended the game from the UFLAccess.com staff.

A Week in Vegas: The Guts and Glory of the United Football League

The first ever United Football League championship week did not have the glitz and the glamour of the Super Bowl. Playboy and ESPN were not hosting bashes. The media did not descend on Las Vegas en mass. What the week had, however, was a sense of fun and a sense of getting in on the ground floor of something special for fans of the United Football League and those who had worked so hard on the endeavor.

News Director Nation Hahn weighs in with first hand stories, accounts, and anecdotes you won’t find elsewhere regarding the UFL Championship Game.

The Morning After: It’s UFL Championship Week!

The week of the Championship Game has arrived and UFLAccess.com will have all of the coverage that UFL fans can handle. I will be posting a daily blog beginning in Tuesday live from Las Vegas, tomorrow night we will have a special Championship Game edition of “Inside the UFL” at 8 PM EST with a round table preview of the game, and on Wednesday we will be livetweeting the United Football League’s first ever Media Day at http://www.twitter.com/UFLAccess. Las Vegas Finish Regular Season with 41-7 Victory Over New York Sentinels

The Las Vegas Locomotives cruised to a 41-7 victory tonight over the New York Sentinels before a crowd of 13,306 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.

In what was their final tune-up before the UFL Championship Game, the Locos benefited from five Sentinels turnovers and had five different players score touchdowns. Las Vegas (4-2) will face the Florida Tuskers (6-0) in the inaugural UFL title game set to kick off Nov. 27 at 12 p.m. PST at Sam Boyd Stadium.

UFLA Preview: Could the Sentinels pull off a win in Las Vegas?

Tonight the United Football League’s “Premiere Season” comes to a close. For those of us who followed the development of the league from May of 2007 until now it seems hard to believe. After all of the hard work from the executives, investors, employees, coaches, and players of the UFL the regular season closes and we will be one week from the Championship Game. The Las Vegas Locos have clinched a spot in the Championship Game in their home stadium and they will look to close the regular season in style against the 0-5 New York Sentinels.

The Morning After: The Locos Roll Into the Championship

The Championship Game is set. The home town Las Vegas Locos will host the Florida Tuskers at Sam Boyd Stadium on Black Friday. Before the Locos pulled out the win, the Redwoods looked like they were going to pull out the upset. The home town Redwoods dominated defensively and Cory Ross was running wild until a pair of referee calls and sharper play by the Locos offense led to a narrow victory for Jim Fassel’s squad.

UFLA Preview: The Tuskers Look to 5-0, Sentinels Hope to Show Spine in Hartford

The second game of the United Football League Premiere Season featured the New York Sentinels taking on the Florida Tuskers in their home opener. The Tuskers were viewed as the dominant team in the league in the preseason but the Sentinels jumped out to a 10 to 0 lead, which looked like it was going to become a 17 to 0 lead until suddenly all of the momentum left the Sentinels. Since that time the Tuskers have moved to 4-0, looking unstoppable minus their second game against the Locos, while the Sentinels have remained winless.

FanHouse: Q&A with Cottrell

Ted Cottrell: Yes, we are going to expand to other cities that don’t have football. There are a lot people looking for football in their lives.
