The stadium allows it for college games so I don't see why not. Las Vegas has some of the most liberal liquor laws in the country after all. But if all else fails, party down at Sam's Town and cab it over to the stadium.

Contrary to common belief, there is an open-container law here. It is not openly enforced on the strip for obvious reasons, but technically, it is against the law to have an open container/public consumption in public, (as in most states). I can't spcifically remember if it is county or state law, but it is on the books.

It is most often enforced in parks or used when somebody fails the attitude test with law enforcement, (contempt of cop).

Basically, have fun but don't be an ass or out of control when a cop passes and you are cool.

Tailgating is fine during UNLV games. Plenty of people drink it up in the parking area and it's the same stadium.

The only ones who get in trouble are idiots.

Ive seen plenty of people get arrested at UNLV during outlaws games for being too out of control.

Like I said...

UNLV vs. Hawaii is coming up. Always at least a few arrests for fighting - and that is just AMONG the Hawaii fans.

If you act reasonably, you don't have any problems tailgating.

So WHERE do I got to drink YOUR beer?

I will be at all of the home games this season. I will definitely be tailgating at the Home Depot Center since I live in SoCal. Let me know where the tailgating party is at Sam Boyd Stadium and I will stop by and hang out with my fellow UFL Access buddies.

In the parking lot. :p

By the sounds of how ticket sales are going, we'll be easy to spot. :(

Is there any grassy or shaded areas to setup at at Boyd?
What about Home Depot?

I was just looking at Home Depot on Mapquest and it's surrounded by parking lots with no trees and tennis courts

Sam Boyd - grass or shade? um, no.

It's the desert. THe nice thing is that fall is beautiful here, my favorite season. You won't need shade when the game rolls around.

True STV...6pm kickoff...even at 4, it wont be full sun...official sunset is around 6:14 so parking on the east side of Sam Boyd Stadium oughta find earlier shade too. Sun wont be an issue in Dominguez Hills/Home Depot Center's 6pm kickoff in late November either.

I need to correct myself on part of your question. I concentrated on the 'shaded area' portion. No shade to speak of.

However, you can park in the grassy area to the north of the stadium. At least you can park here during the UNLV football games. This is the ideal place to park if you are tailgating.

As stated a few times be smart and seperate yourself from anyone who suffers the delussion that our police department is understanding or tolerant of any beligerance. I hope the envirement will be less of a circus than the xfl put out and i'm sure it will.
