Does anyone have any inside scoop on the Locos? Or for you Vegas natives is there any rumors going around about Arch?

Anyone have any clue if he is going to sign the contract or not? I cannot find any news.

If he's not on a roster now, and he didn't play in the league in 2008, then I don't know what he thinks is at the end of the rainbow.

I don't imagine if the Steelers suddenly lose Troy Polamalu that Mike Tomlin's scrambling for Arch's number.

I liked Archuleta when he was with the Rams, but going to Washington destoryed his career. He never could figure things out with the Bears, which is weird because he was pretty good in Lovie's defense in St. Louis. I'm not sure he's worth a look in the UFL. He doesn't seem to have anything left in the tank.

He was the greatest $40 million punt protector the Redskins ever had, let me tell you! I miss the comedian/heckler that used to sit behind me at games, good times in 2006. "That's right Arch, you block that guy! Earn that paycheck!"

To be fair, we did lose the guy slated to start at safety for the year on the opening kickoff of the season. They never wanted him to be the only safety, just the blitzing safety he was supposed to be but it was still a very expensive mistake we were lucky to get a 6th round draft pick for. Chicago probably wanted that pick back because he was pretty bad there too and hasn't been seen since. Knowing him, he probably feels he is above this league.

UFL Vice President and General Manager Rick Mueller appeared this week on the RockandManuch (RocandManuch.com) show. There he said that Archuleta and also former Cardinals RB Marcel Shipp have signed with Las Vegas.

Yesterday at the open trytout in Orlando Mueller mentioned that the league has signed three former first round NFL picks so far. Should be Losman, Bryant and Archuleta.

Kinda makes you wonder why they are holding back on announcements. My best guess is some of those guys are holding on to NFL hopes and don't want the appearance that they've "given up" on the NFL for the first part of the season.

Yeah ok, Look at what he did as a Ram, you give him the right defensive scheme he can be a beast. Obviously vegas knows this or they wouldnt of drafted him. If he never left the rams he would still be starting there. Plus the man can bench over 525 pounds and he only weighs 210.

Adam - sometimes they are waiting on the right time or another signing takes priority or they want to group players together, etc. etc. Also the signings take time to clear the legal department, etc.

I don't think it has a lot to do with the players "holding out hope for the NFL" except that the agreements are in principle until some future date when they become ratified.

yeah I know, its sad. Arch is my favorite defensive player, and Kevin Kasper is my favorite offensive player of all time. Both were in the same draft, and ever since that day, I have defended them against all the haters. Once they are both done with football, I have to find my new crew...............Sad I know, I get ripped for it all the time, since both have done nothing in the past years.....

Archuleta's just not the same player he was in St. Louis, but I'm still glad to see him, along with Marcel Shipp, in the UFL.

I'm excited about Marcel Shipp too. He was a good RB for the AZ Cardinals and still can play. The Locos need to have the foghorn sound ready anytime Shipp scores.

Losman, Shipp, and Kircus is a pretty good offensive team so far

So I haven't seen anything about Adam Archuleta anywhere, is it safe to assume that he is not a Loco? Did he get picked up by an NFL team? Cut by Las Vegas? Abducted by aliens? Anyone have an answer? Was looking forward to seeing him play again but I am guessing that is out the window at this point.

Rosters were just released and I didn't see him on any roster. I don't remember seeing his name on a transaction log saying he was released either. Any news?
