One more Omaha idea (my 4th I think). Some comments:
Really went out on a limb on the color scheme. Avoided red (too U. Nebraska), blue (too LV, FLA) and black (overused in general). So that did not leave me a lot of color options. I went with Brown-Orange-Maize. I think they work with the name Stags, and evoke autumn (football weather) but, yes, I admit, they are very 1970's San Diego Padre, or very 1980's Vancouver Canucks. Some folks will hate these just based on the colors.

I am not sure I can stand this look. It might be a love-hate relationship. At least the team would stand out against the other UFL teams.

I like the brown on tan color scheme. It fits with my 'Omaha Dusters' idea. Sadly, I think that bird won't fly.

I'm a child of the Midwest so Omaha is my team for 2010.

The primary logo is okay, not great but okay. I guess the biggest thing is to avoid any similarity to the Milwaukee Bucks logo. The wordmark and secondary are kinda weak IMO. I'm glad you avoided using antlers as the helmet logo, it just wouldn't look right to me.

In my mind I always thought the Omaha team (regardless of the name) would end up with Orange being the primary color. It would be kind of ironic to have a team called the Stags wearing orange.... I think you used too many colors for this concept though. I'd lose the orange and just go with brown and gold.

Design wise I see you still like using the premiere season template, which I'm not a fan of. However the rest of the uniform is designed pretty well.

Something like Fairfield would look good.

I like the main logo. One note i would add from seeing the old San Antonio Riders uniforms and helmet, is that a touch of red (rather than orange) sets off well against brown and yellow. And this is coming from an old s**t brown and mustard yellow uni padre fan.

I get where you are going, but the old SA Riders were actually brown, orange and gold, not red. I am not sure why but your colors on that jersey are not accurate. There was red and blue in the Riders' logo, but the uni was mostly chocolate brown and old gold with hints of orange (like the facemask above.)

Even on the Riders uniform...that could definitely be orange. Actually the red I was thinking of would be a very small amount as accent.

Just looking at the Wordmark, my first thought was "Oooh, a steakhouse!" lol.

Anyway, I actually love this all around. The color scheme is quite nice, the logo is very nice as well. All around, great job, I really like it! :)

COLOR: I like the color combo.
LOGO:Not to crazy about the logo. I think the stag alone would work w/o the triangle. It reminds me of a deer crossing sign.Maybe the shape could be changed to a silhouette of Nebraska, a sun (like the Dolphins) or nothing at all.

HELMET: The Helmet IMO would look strong either all brown or change the yellow to more of a gold color.

SECONDARY LOGO:The secondary logo is cool but it reminds me of a trophy wall, u know when someone kills a buck and they just want to keep the antlers. U might hv been going for that look though.

WOODMARK: The Woodmark is good enough to serve as the secondary logo IMO.
The stripes across the chest, I personally don't like but it looks okay to me. I think if ur going to have the chest stripes either the side panels shld go or the shldr stripes.
I can understand what ur trying to do w/ the overall look of the uni and logo following what the league has presented, at least I think I do, but I feel that the league won't O.D on the trim/stripes on the uni's or go too radical w/ the logo.

Overall I do like this concept.

Even though I'm not a big fan of brown, I think you did a very good job. I really like the primary and secondary logos, though I do have to agree that the secondary one does look like a wall trophy, lol.

From a PR view the state is used to the bright red of the Cornhuskers maybe brighten the colors up.

Um....
I looked at that and immediately thought "Detroit Wheels".

Skipping over the ....uh...interesting color scheme (not sure how orange or yellow fits in with a deer, but anyway) I don't see any particular need to depict an entire animal on a helmet. Simpler things in general are more effective, and a set of beige or off white stag horns on a brown helmet would look just fine IMHO. Those types of helmets have always been interesting to people, including collectors, and survive the test of time. See the old West Texas State Buffaloes helmet, for example:

http://www.helmethut.com/College/West%20Texas%20State/West%20Texas.html

Colors? brown, white, a couple of different shades in the tan/beige family, even copper.

I just don't get why some people make a deal about teams with animal names not wearing the "natural colors" of that animal. If that were the case, there would be a whole lot of teams wearing brown uniforms.

This may be my favorite logo you have ever done wideright. Like the logo and it fits well IMO with a midwestern based team. Kinda reminds me of what its like looking out your car window on a long drive thru Nebraska post harvest. The whole thing is a mix of classic logos & the newfangled UFL design schemes.

I have to say that I LOVE the brown!

If you don't do the complete deer in the helmet, I admit that the helmet from the Pine River, MI Bucks is a personal favorite of mine:

But that's just me.

I LOVE the helmet that Neptunium posted I think it looks great and would be very unique and help set the Omaha Stags apart from the other teams!

That helmet would be perfect for a team called "Stags".
