Why not just pick a city this year and every year have after have the championship team host the next years championship game. Seems like a simple solution to me.

My two cents...it should be the city with the best attendance. It needs to look good on TV and when/if sports center or local sports talks about the game, you want it to be heard, "25,000+ in attendance for the championship game."

1 fair argument is, "what happens if Omaha holds the game, but the game is between Florida and Sacramento? Will the fans of Omaha not care about the game?" I think they will care as great fans of the UFL.

I think that announcing the venue in as much advance notice to give the championship game opponents fans enough time to book flights, hotel that sort of thing so they can be there to cheer their team on!

Agreed, Vegas usually has cheap flights but more $$$ hotels. At least most of the cities in the league are serviced by Southwest.

Imagine the revenue for businesses if Omaha hosted the game.

I think it needs to be and will be Omaha. Hopefully the Nighthawks will be there too so they have a huge amount of fan support for the last ever game at the Rosenblatt.

I'd rather just have Omaha host it; odds are they're gonna have the best attendance , and as OBXastonaut said, there would be alot of money in it for the league

I go back and forth on this a little....sometimes I think a warm weather, vacation spot like Orlando would make a nice trip for whatever teams' fans want to go...and chances are the Tuskers could make it to the championship game themselves..The Citrus Bowl could accommodate the largest crowd.

But the case for Omaha:

-- Omahans don't feel like they are "too good" for the UFL. They support the whole concept of the league, not just the local team.
-- Omaha loves to host special events. Has a good track record hosting/supporting events that don't feature local teams. (If Omaha doesn't make it into the game.)
-- It would be the last sporting event EVER at Rosenblatt.
-- It's central geographic location would encourage fans from Hartford to Sacramento to make the trip for the game.

This really isn't the best way to go about the location planning. Again, kuddos to the UFL for thinking outside of the box but this is not the way you should plan what should be the best attended event of the season.
There are a few ways to go about this that I would do...
1- let the best record or attendance numbers host based on the half season mark or season end. (this would have the team with the most pumped up crowd at the game but the possibility remains of a mid-season collapse with the half mark clinch which makes season end seem more logical)
2- pick a predetermined stadium that is either a big market or future expansion location. (this would allow more time for fans and tourists to make plans for going to the big game by announcing well before the event and could showcase in larger or new/future fields as a reward for expansion but then again could fall flat)
3- use the MLB's idea and once "divisions" are formed have a pre-season "division v.s. division" matchup to determine who's side gets the homefield. (WAY outside the box and wouldn't work.. just spitballing)
4- reward the champion with having hosting rights to the next championship. (bad idea for attendance in the long run but could be big for hometown fans)

I'm sure there are more ideas...
