Two players received contracts today in Orlando, at least thus far.
The Tuskers finally found a Quarterback in Craig Nall. Nall was a 5th round NFL pick in 2002, a former All-NFL Europe Quarterback, and a record setter at Northwestern State University. He has been on five NFL rosters with his longest stint being for the Green Bay Packers. In limited playing time in the NFL he achieved a 123.9 Quarterback rating.
Doug Gabriel, a local hero, also signed with the Tuskers. Gabriel was a tremendous player for Central Florida before having NFL stints with the Raiders, Patriots, and Bengals. Gabriel is a member of what is shaping up to be a great WR Corps for the Tuskers.
This morning around 1,000 players tried out for the league, exceeding expectations. They ended up creating two sessions to fit the demand and 20 players made it into the private session that afternoon which included players such as Joe Ganz, De’Cody Fagg, and more. Fagg was a talented WR for Florida State, projected to go in the 2009 NFL Draft before a severe injury. Fagg will look to rehab his knee and career in the UFL.

Finally! Florida gets a QB. Tusker fans hope Craig Nall is good.
As a Packers fan, it makes me happy to see Nall finally get a place to call his own.
