Argonauts! (http://www.legendsofamerica.com/ca-argonauts.html) Leaders, successful, pioneers, trailblazers, founders of our great state. Argonauts! Purely Sacramento (and region). Sutter, Brannan, Marshall, Stanford, Crocker, etc…

- Sacramento Sting already taken….too bad. http://sacsting.hoopsystems.com/ Go Grizzlies! or Go Argonauts!
- Bear Flag The sole legacy of the “California Republic” was the adoption of its flag as the basis of the modern state Flag of California. The modern flag has a star, a grizzly bear, and a colored stripe with the words “California Republic”. The Sonoma Plaza site of the raising of the original Bear Flag is marked by a California Historical Landmark.
The original Bear Flag was designed and made by William L. Todd, who was a first cousin of Mary Todd Lincoln,[4] wife of president Abraham Lincoln.
Talk about grounding the team with local history! The Grizzlies!
- No one out of the Sacramento area will get the association between Hornet stadium and ‘Sting’. Why name the team after a stadium anyway. Is there nothing else about our area that might represent us a bit better than the wee little annoyance of a flying insect?
- ‘Sting’, really? Is this a U-12 girls soccer team or a professional football franchise? The bear on the state flag, modeled after the flag used in the Bear Flag Revolt of 1846 is a Grizzly. How about the Grizzlys. Or Argonauts, for the leading pioneers that created our state. See ‘Argonauts of California’ a book written about our states leading founders? But please, anything but ‘Sting’ or ‘Surge’….

- UFL Store Live
I appreciate the mention, but please note my point was just being thankful for having the store available. There are market pressures that have an affect on the prices that they offer. One of the reasons I have very few items from any league is the pricing. Quality logo items are expensive. It just means that we have to choose wisely. Plus, season ticket holders do receive a 10% discount when buying at the venue. (I hate shopping at the venue, but the discount is nice

OMG! I came home between jobs and saw the store. THANK YOU! Can’t wait to place an order. - UFL National Ad Spots Leak (Update: Videos Back Up)
So is this why the store isn’t open? The new logo design has not yet been released? I like the ‘balanced’ logo better….but would have rather been able to purchase merchandise sooner. I’m hoping the store can now open
- Analysis: Virginia team given near-unprecedented time to get ready
So, that means the UFL needs to announce teams 7 and 8 prior to the end of August….or else they are committing the same missteps as the USFL and WLAF. Cool – I look forward to the announcements! - Virginia Beach Sportsplex Norfolk Stadium Frontrunner?
I would think a larger complex would be necessary. 3,000 end zone seats are just a number to ‘bump up’ a ‘possible future number’. End zone seats are not very good seats. If modifying the berm would only bring it to 17,000 (17,000 seats with value), I would think the UFL needs to pursue a larger venue for this franchise.

I think most people want to keep the name Redwoods, however if they had to use a different name I say it should be sting or senators, both are pretty good
