Jack Mula Offered by UFL
Access has learned today, per a Boston Globe report, that former Patriots general counsel/player personnel Jack Mula has been offered a president/general manager position within two United Football League clubs.
During the season, he [Mula] was one of eight candidates under consideration to become president of the Packers, but he elected not to pursue the position. The Falcons also have reached out to him, and the new United Football League has offered him a president/general manager role with two clubs. Mula is also mulling opportunities at two Boston-based law firms.      Â
Mula announced last May that 2007 would bring the end of his stint with the Patriots, but in his time there he was considered ”a major contributor to the most prosperous period in the organization’s history.” Prior to the Patriots, Mula acted as a player agent and sports attorney for the likes of Doug Flutie and Raghib “Rocket” Ismail.
Even if Mula chooses an alternate path than the UFL, if nothing else this bolsters what the league has been telling Access in past discussions - that they’re hard at work and making strong moves behind the scenes.

I like to hear that the UFL are going after long time pro football people to run their teams. I think that is great news.
Thanks for the info. Interesting. But is there any chance he’ll go with the UFL when he could be with the NFL?
