While unconfirmed, it has come to the attention of UFL Access that one single venue may not be the plan for the United Football League’s New York franchise, at least not for the initial season.
Rumors and discussion abound in our forums and elsewhere concerning the destination of the UFL New York squad, but the possibility exists the team may see play in three locations: Hofstra, Citifield, and Hartford. Citifield as a venue has probably seen the most fan interest up to this point.
Such a setup for UFL New York would potentially widen access to regional fans looking to see a game while also setting up the stage for the probability of an expansion team in Hartford in season two.
UFL Access will bring confirmation of United Football League stadium information as soon as it becomes available over the next couple weeks.

Interesing. That’s what I call diversification.
I most like that it could prime the Hartford market for next season.
During a Wednesday, July 29th interview on Boston-based Sports Radio WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan Show”, Huyghue stated that the UFL’s New York team would play at Hofstra, as well as other venues. When asked where a New York-based team would play, Huyghue replied:
“Uh… well, we have, uh… a game at Hofstra. We’re going to play at some other venues that’ll be announced next week, uh, that’ll be pretty exciting to hear.”
Thanks, Brian. That appears to lend further credence to this story.
Couldn’t agree with you more, Billy. New York will need a regional rival and Hartford seems to be the best option.
