UNITED FOOTBALL LEAGUE PARTICIPATES IN GROUNDBREAKING OF NEW TRAINING FACILITY & PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE IN CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA

CASA GRANDE, AZ (June 16, 2009) – Executives from the United Football League (UFL) participated in today’s groundbreaking of the Casa Grande Training Facility & Performance Institute in Casa Grande, Arizona. UFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue and Las Vegas Head Coach Jim Fassel, along with local and state officials, donned hard hats and ceremoniously broke ground on a modern athletic facility where the UFL will be primary tenant for its “Premiere” season.

“The UFL is a new venture of affordable entertainment that will take advantage of the abundance of athletic football talent available and will provide it to more fans in more cities,” said UFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue. “We are excited to be partnering with the city of Casa Grande to create its new Training Facility & Performance Institute and look forward to housing our Las Vegas and San Francisco franchises here this September.”

The complex will encompass eight football fields, four field houses, a sports training and rehabilitation center, locker rooms, office space and other recreational amenities for public and private use. The new state-of-the-art, multi-discipline training facility, whose scope of daily operations and activities will satisfy all local, state and regional athlete requirements, will cater to a national and international training, therapy and medical audience.

“I am very excited for our community, especially our youth, who will have the opportunity to attend and participate in sports clinics with world class athletes from the UFL,” said Mayor Jackson. “The City of Casa Grande extends a warm welcome to the UFL and all of its teams.”

In addition to the UFL, the Institute will be home to The Academy, which provides world-class instructional programs in soccer, tennis, football golf, and physical and mental conditioning for children aged seven to 18. Providing ongoing national exposure, BEST (Blue Entertainment Sport Television) will drive professional athletes to Casa Grande for their off-season rehabilitation or performance training. Finally, Proaxis Therapy will bring its national reputation for sports medicine, training performance and rehabilitation to the Casa Grande performance campus.
