UFL’s Losman Agrees to Raiders Deal

UFL Las Vegas Locomotive's J.P. Losman to Oakland Raiders Shortly ago, Mike Florio of Profootballtalk reported that J.P. Losman had agreed to sign with the NFL’s Oakland Raiders, with Losman visiting Oakland today for a physical. PFT was told that Losman’s stint with the United Football League’s Las Vegas Locomotives under the direction of coach Jim Fassel was the impetus behind Oakland’s move.

This evening, UFL Access can confirm PFT’s report. J.P. Losman will indeed find time with the Oakland Raiders this season.

J.P. Losman was the 22nd draft pick in the 2004 NFL draft following his college career at Tulane. Losman played in the league from 2004-2008 before joining the UFL’s Las Vegas “Locos” in 2009. This season in the UFL, Losman threw for 1386 yards at a 62.1% overall completion rate (9 TD, 2 INT), helping to lead the Locos to their first UFL Championship.

  1. Damn. Gonna be weird not having him in the league next year, but I can’t wait to see who comes in to take his place.

  2. Perhaps JaMarcus Russell can find a job in the UFL? Third string clip board holder perhaps?
