UFL

And the ratings are in…

Despite earlier reports, the actual UFL overnight ratings have arrived. According to a reliable source the overall viewership came in at a .25 overall, with a .29 among the 18-40 demographic. This rates the UFL among the highest viewed shows on VERSUS – placing them ahead of much of VERSUS’ Tour de France and NHL coverage.

Another key point is that the UFL accomplished this rating with a relatively light promotional push and with less households on VERSUS than usual due to the DirectTV/Comcast dispute.

  4. This is great news. Given that there was been practically no national marketting campaign and the MSM has paid it little attention, it really is great news.

  5. They key thing for the UFL is managing expecations. While leagues like the XFL needed to get NBA/MLB numbers to succeed, the UFL doesn’t have those expecations and can pursue slow but steady growth. I’m excited about this league!

  8. It is great news, but I can’t say I am surprised. The attention they have put into ensuring that this is good football, plus the managing of expectations as mentioned by lvrecsports is really going to carry this league far. I am so glad the ratings were high, and I did my part for it. Let’s all tune in every chance we get so we can help promote our new league!
