At about 11:20 AM this morning the United Football League officially “tweeted” for the first time. Check out http://twitter.com/theUFL/status/1836601922 for the official tweet.

It wasn’t exactly groundbreaking but they did say: “The United Football League is Officially on Twitter. We look forward to keeping you all updated on our latest news and developments.”

The tweet fit nicely within the 140 character limit. The biggest news out of this is that it indicates the UFL is likely set to launch their new web presence in the very near future.

Update – a second tweet this afternoon has announced the official relaunch of the United Football League website, complete with its Web 2.0 capabilities (see our story, above). Aside from a facelift, the Twitter presence, and an enhanced presentation for news and updates, the new site also includes a fairly in-depth timeline for major announcements leading into the start of the season in October.
